Reality Bites

My work is about telling stories, my goal to reveal each woman's life story through her body, in her home." American photographer Matthew Blum try to capture images of women with complete naturalness and confident in their home environment. His main work is The Nu Project, where he shows his photography on women (and occasionally also men) of all races, continets and, above all, body tipes. He wants to tell us stories of people, focusing on these and not on eroticism.
Starting from the original idea of Blum -wich I discovered thanks to The New Erotic Photography edited in Taschen by Dian Hanson- I have added the inspiration of other artist, photography and painting like Reuben Negron, Claudia de Lima or Richard Kern, and I have formed a idea inspired by a more naturalistic and everyday than explicit approach, avoiding the sexualization of the works.
My intention is to reflect everyday images of people in their homes, in the most natural way possible. I seek nudity, but not for free. I do not want to make an illustration of someone walking around their house, having a coffee or running the washing machine without clothes as if they had escaped from a vulgar porn video. I need there to be a natural reason, and the work must transmit it as part of its essence.
Reality Bites was born in this way. My goal is to capture a natural and everyday eroticism that pays close attention to the details of the environment, very important here because they make up an indispensable set with the person. Because the reason for this project is to tell stories of people.
